We were commissioned by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) to create a documentary highlighting their collaboration with the Irish Men’s Sheds Association. This film explores how RCSI partnered with the Clondalkin Men’s Shed to craft bespoke display cabinets for rare historical materials from RCSI’s Heritage Collections. Through interviews and on-site footage, we showcase the craftsmanship involved and delve into the broader significance of Men’s Sheds in promoting mental health and community engagement. The documentary underscores the shared values of RCSI and the Men’s Sheds movement, emphasizing the importance of community-driven initiatives in enhancing well-being and preserving cultural heritage.
